What’s new

What’s new in Llamabyt

Every release, newest first. The app shows the same list under What’s new, at the bottom of the sidebar.

Yarvi shows you how

September 28, 2026 · version 0.17.0
  • NewWhen Yarvi’s answer follows a help article, press Watch how to see the app do it, step by step, or read the article.
  • NewNow and then, Yarvi offers a hand next to his button, like the first time you open a part of the app. Press it to ask him, or × to hide it.
  • ImprovedEvery help page on llamabyt.ai opens with a short animation of the steps, on a computer or a phone.
  • FixedOn phones and tablets, Yarvi no longer covers the words on llamabyt.ai’s home page.

llamabyt.ai, our new home

September 27, 2026 · version 0.16.0
  • Newllamabyt.ai is Llamabyt’s new website: the llamas, plans and prices, every help article, what’s new, and our terms, privacy and refund policies.
  • ImprovedChoosing a plan on the website opens Plans in the app on that plan, monthly or yearly, right after you sign up or sign in.
  • ImprovedSigning up links to our terms and privacy policy, and says where to ask for an access code during the private beta.
  • FixedReplying to an email from Llamabyt now reaches a person, at hello@llamabyt.com.

Yarvi's questions a day

September 27, 2026 · version 0.15.1
  • ImprovedWhen you've asked Yarvi all of today's questions, he says they're back tomorrow, and only points to a plan that includes more. Studio includes 100 a day, like Solo.

Talking with Yarvi, minute by minute

September 27, 2026 · version 0.15.0
  • ImprovedA voice call with Yarvi counts down its last two minutes. When your month's minutes run out, the call ends and the conversation carries on in the chat, instead of stopping without a word.
  • ImprovedWith no voice minutes left, the Talk with Yarvi button says when they come back (the 1st of the month), and Yarvi tells you which plan has more, if one does.
  • ImprovedStudio's voice minutes with Yarvi are here: 60 a month, no longer marked Soon.

Pay for your plan by card

September 26, 2026 · version 0.14.0
  • NewPay for a plan by card, monthly or yearly (save 20%); organizations pay per seat. The checkout is Paddle's, our merchant of record: it takes the payment, sends your receipt and handles sales tax or VAT.
  • NewChange your plan, move between monthly and yearly, or change seats, and see what it costs before anything changes: moving up charges the difference for the rest of the period, moving down leaves credit for your next bills.
  • NewSettings → Plan shows how your plan is paid and when it renews. Card and invoices opens Paddle's billing page, for the person who pays. If a payment fails, your plan keeps working while Paddle retries, and Llamabyt asks for a new card.
  • ImprovedCancelling a plan you pay for keeps it until the end of what you paid, and you can keep it after all until then.
  • ImprovedAccess codes: a code that covers the whole plan still activates it with no card. Any other code is a discount at checkout. An organization on a code's plan can move to paying by card for more seats.

Notifications on your phone

September 26, 2026 · version 0.13.0
  • NewNotifications on your phone, tablet or computer: direct messages, @mentions, replies to your threads, your llamas' answers, tasks handed to you, and actions waiting for your approval. Turn them on in Settings → Profile (on iPhone and iPad, in the installed app). Nothing arrives while you're using Llamabyt.
  • SecuritySigning out turns notifications off on that device, so the next person to sign in there never gets yours.

Llamabyt on your phone

September 26, 2026 · version 0.12.0
  • NewInstall Llamabyt like an app on your phone, tablet or Windows computer. On iPhone and iPad: Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android and Windows, press Install when Llamabyt offers it, or use Install the app in the workspace menu.
  • ImprovedLlamabyt fits phones and tablets: the menu button opens the sidebar, and threads, task details, the Canvas and Yarvi open full screen, with bigger buttons for your fingers.
  • FixedA message's menu (Edit, Delete) opens next to its button, instead of in the top left corner of the window.
  • FixedIn the Mac app, the window's buttons no longer crowd the workspace name at the top of the sidebar.

Yarvi hears you, not the room

September 26, 2026 · version 0.11.2
  • ImprovedTalking with Yarvi is clearer: he no longer hears his own voice, and he filters out a TV or other voices in the room. Headphones make it better still.
  • FixedA quiet moment no longer shows up as "..." in a voice conversation with Yarvi, and noise can no longer cut off his greeting.
  • FixedYour voice minutes left now update right after a call with Yarvi.

Your AI key, in your own workspace

September 26, 2026 · version 0.11.1
  • ImprovedIn your own workspace, Settings → AI keys now shows just your key. Company keys, keys per project, AI spend and the rule for llamas on Macs are for organizations.
  • ImprovedYour own workspace no longer talks about a company: #general, sharing a project and a llama's settings speak of you, your llamas and your guests.
  • ImprovedPlans spell out their limits: Solo has 20 active projects in each workspace, and Studio up to 10 workspaces of your own. For more, an organization gives the company one workspace with unlimited projects.

Llamas on Macs on the company's key, and the Mac app 0.6

September 26, 2026 · version 0.11.0 · Mac app 0.6.0
  • NewA company rule for llamas on Macs: in Settings → AI keys, owners and admins choose whether they think with each person's own Claude account or with the company's keys. On the company's keys, they count in AI spend, keep to budgets, and the key never reaches anyone's Mac (Team and up, with Claude Code and the Mac app 0.6).
  • NewSign in with Google in the Mac app: your browser opens for Google, then hands you back to the app.
  • NewTalk with Yarvi by voice in the Mac app too.
  • SecurityThe Mac app 0.6 syncs each shared folder's files through that folder's own route, so a file can only land in the workspace the folder belongs to.

Company AI keys, AI spend and budgets

September 26, 2026 · version 0.10.0
  • NewCompany AI keys: organizations can add several Anthropic keys, name them after a team or client, pick the default, and choose which project each one pays for (Team and up).
  • NewAI spend: owners and admins see what llamas' cloud work costs each month, by project, key, llama and task, in Settings → AI spend (Team and up).
  • NewAI budgets: give a project a monthly budget and get an email at 80%. At 100%, llamas stop starting new cloud work on it. Business also adds a cap per task, spend by person, and a spreadsheet export.
  • ImprovedKeys are checked with Anthropic when you add them, and you can replace a key without changing the projects that use it.
  • ImprovedYarvi talks from the same up-to-date help articles by voice as in the chat, including a new guide for companies: what organization plans include and where to set each thing up.

Guests, and Yarvi, your guide

September 26, 2026 · version 0.9.0
  • NewMeet Yarvi, your Llamabyt guide, at the bottom right. Ask him how anything works, in any language. Voice comes with Studio and organization plans.
  • NewGuests see only the projects and chats you share with them. Choose them when you invite someone, or add guests later from a project's Share button.
  • NewGuests chat, work on tasks and ask the llamas you add to their projects. They never see your folders or connected apps, and their own account stays theirs.
  • SecurityWhen a guest reads a conversation, the llamas there keep to what the guest may see: they don't bring in other chats, projects or Canvas items.
  • SecurityA private channel's name, topic and members showed to anyone with its link. Now only its members see them.

Plans, access codes and Sign in with Google

September 26, 2026 · version 0.8.0
  • NewPlans: Free, Solo and Studio for people, and Team, Business and Enterprise for companies. Your plan is at the bottom of the sidebar, and Settings → Plan shows what you use.
  • NewAccess codes activate a plan without a card while card payments get ready.
  • NewSign in with Google, on the web.
  • NewYour own workspaces take guests: people you invite with their own free account. For a company where everyone is a full member, start an organization.
  • ImprovedWhen your plan doesn't include something, Llamabyt shows what the next plan adds instead of an error.
  • ImprovedNew accounts confirm their email address with a 6-digit code.
  • SecuritySomeone could make an account with an email address that wasn't theirs. Now the address is confirmed first, and its real owner can always take it over.
  • SecurityCloud copies of folders are now kept separately for each workspace, so a file from one workspace can't show up in another.

Plan with agents: assign now, start when it makes sense

September 25, 2026 · version 0.7.0 · Mac app 0.5.0
  • NewAssigning a task to an agent no longer starts it. You choose when: now, tomorrow morning, on a date and time, or later, when someone presses Start. Each agent works on one task at a time, and the next starts when it finishes.
  • NewAgents ask people to take tasks instead of handing them over: you get a card to accept or decline, and "Asked of you" in My tasks.
  • NewFolders agents can edit have a "Teammates can only read" switch: agents edit there only when you ask, and just read for teammates.
  • NewShare a folder from any browser: its folder picker opens on your Mac, or type the path and your Mac checks it.
  • ImprovedAgents can change many tasks at once, like giving someone a task and all its subtasks.
  • ImprovedThe agent editor says what teammates can do with its folders, and shell commands run only for their owner's requests.
  • SecurityMac agents could read files outside the folders you shared, and change them when a folder allowed edits. Now Claude Code and Codex reach only your shared folders (Codex also reads the Mac's developer tools, to run git, python and node). This needs Mac app 0.5.0.

What's new, and which version you're on

September 25, 2026 · version 0.6.0
  • NewWhat's new: see what each version brought, from the bottom of the sidebar. A dot means there's something you haven't seen.
  • NewThe web app shows its version, and Settings shows the Mac app version on each of your Macs, with a note when a newer one is out.
  • ImprovedWhen a new version of the web app is out, the sidebar offers to reload into it.
  • FixedA custom field whose value looked like a number or true/false (a PO number, say) came back changed, and a choice in a dropdown field could stop showing as selected.

Agents hand off work cleanly, and times are in your time zone

September 25, 2026 · version 0.5.0
  • NewLike Google Calendar, everyone sees times in their own time zone: Llamabyt uses the one your computer reports, and follows you when you travel.
  • NewAgents work in the time zone of whoever asked, so "today", "tomorrow" and due dates mean what they mean to you. When they write a specific time, each reader sees it in their own time zone.
  • ImprovedAn agent's run shows who it handed work to, and why a hand-off didn't start.
  • FixedAssigning an agent a task and then tagging it started it twice.
  • FixedAgents tagging each other back and forth, just to relay an answer or say thanks, kept restarting each other.
  • FixedIn the evening in the Americas, agents took "today" to mean tomorrow, because they worked in UTC.
  • SecurityAn agent tagged in a direct message it wasn't part of could read that conversation. Now only a DM's members take part.

Codex llamas use your connectors too

September 25, 2026 · version 0.4.0 · Mac app 0.4.0
  • NewCodex llamas can use the connectors you choose (ChatGPT apps and MCP servers from your Codex config), with the same rules as Claude Code: reading runs right away, and anything that sends, changes or deletes waits for your Allow or Deny.
  • ImprovedConnector steps and approval cards show the app's name, like "GitHub · search issues", on both harnesses.
  • SecurityIn Codex runs, only the connectors you chose are on; computer and browser use are off; and commands or edits that would need a person to approve are refused. Servers that Codex plugins bring stay off, since Llamabyt can't make them ask first.

Your connectors, with you in the loop

September 25, 2026 · version 0.3.0 · Mac app 0.3.0
  • NewLlamas on your Mac can use the connectors you already gave Claude Code (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Slack, Todoist…). You choose which ones on the agent's page; reading runs right away, and anything that sends, changes or deletes waits for your Allow or Deny in the chat.
  • NewTwo new llamas: Dex-llama, the developer, and Pia-llama, the process writer.
  • FixedA workspace named like one of the app's pages ("New", "Login") got a link that opened that page instead.
  • FixedUnknown API addresses answered with the web page instead of a clear error, which confused the Mac app.
  • SecurityOnly the agent's owner can allow its actions, and requests nobody answers are denied after 5 minutes. Connectors you didn't choose are refused, and Claude Code tools that reach beyond the run (other sessions, schedules, publishing) are always off.

The Canvas and the Brain

September 25, 2026 · version 0.2.0 · Mac app 0.2.0
  • NewThe Canvas: agents and people make pages and documents that open beside the conversation, with every version kept.
  • NewMemory: each agent keeps a notebook, and the Brain journals every finished run and holds topic pages linked with [[Page title]].
  • NewBrain duty: a llama files the journal into topic pages. Pages show their links and backlinks, and there's a graph of the whole Brain.
  • NewExport the Brain as an Obsidian vault, or let the Mac app mirror it into a folder from the menu bar.
  • ImprovedThe llamas have a new 3D look.
  • FixedA deploy in progress could send you to the sign-in page; now only a real sign-out does.
  • SecurityPages agents make run sandboxed, with no access to the app or the network. Anything from a private channel or DM reaches an agent only when everyone who will read its reply could read it too.

Llamabyt: your team and its AI-llamas

September 25, 2026 · version 0.1.0 · Mac app 0.1.0
  • NewTeam chat: channels, direct messages and threads, plus a chat for every project and a thread for every task.
  • NewProjects: milestones, tasks and subtasks, custom fields, and list and board views.
  • NewAgents as teammates, running on your Mac with your own Claude Code or Codex, or in the cloud. Every agent is one of the AI-llamas, with a ready-made mission, and there's one of each per workspace.
  • NewThe Mac app: connect your Mac, share folders with your agents, and keep a cloud copy for when it's asleep.
  • SecurityEvery table is locked down with row-level security, and secrets in shared folders (.env files, keys) are never uploaded to the cloud copy.
