Paying for Llamabyt
Do I pay Llamabyt for the AI?
No. Llamabyt never resells or marks up AI. Llamas on your Mac think with your own Claude Code or Codex subscription; llamas in the cloud use an Anthropic API key you add, and that usage is billed by Anthropic to your account. Owners and admins see what each cloud run cost.
How does paying work?
Plans are paid by card, monthly or yearly (yearly saves 20%). Our checkout is run by Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record: Paddle takes the payment, sends your receipt and adds sales tax or VAT for your country. Charges show on your statement as Paddle. Organization plans are paid per seat.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Any time, from Settings → Plan in the app. Before a change, Llamabyt shows what it costs: moving up charges the difference for the rest of the billing period, moving down turns what you paid into credit. If you cancel, your plan keeps working until the end of what you paid, and nothing is deleted.
Can I get a refund?
Yes: within 14 days of the first payment for a new subscription, you can ask for a full refund. Renewals aren’t refunded, but you can cancel before the next one. The refund policy has the details.
What’s an access code?
During the private beta, you need an invite or an access code to sign up. A code that covers a whole plan activates it with no card; other codes are discounts at checkout. No code yet? Ask us for one.
What are seats and guests?
In an organization (Team, Business, Enterprise), everyone who works in it is a full member with a seat. Guests, like clients and contractors, are free up to a number per seat, and see only the projects you share with them. Personal plans (Free, Solo, Studio) take guests, not members.
What happens when I reach a limit?
Llamabyt tells you which plan allows more instead of showing an error. Completed and archived projects don’t count as active. Below a plan’s limits you keep everything you have; you just can’t add more.
