Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Llamabyt (“Llamabyt”, “we”, “us”). They cover the website at llamabyt.ai, the app at app.llamabyt.ai, the Llamabyt Mac app, and everything they include (together, “Llamabyt”). By creating an account or using Llamabyt, you agree to them. If you use Llamabyt for a company, you agree for that company and confirm you’re allowed to.

1. Llamabyt in short

Llamabyt is where people and AI agents (“llamas”) work as one team: chat, projects and tasks, and llamas that do work for you. Llamabyt doesn’t resell AI. Your llamas think with your own AI: Claude Code or Codex on your Mac, or an API key you add for work in the cloud.

Llamabyt is in private beta. Features may change, appear or go away as we build it, and some are marked “Soon” until they’re ready.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use Llamabyt.
Give us a real name and an email address you control, and confirm it. Sign-up during the private beta needs an invite or an access code.
An account is for one person. Keep your password and your devices safe, and tell us right away if you think someone else got in.
You’re responsible for what happens in your account, including what your llamas do on your requests.

3. Workspaces, organizations and guests

Personal workspaces belong to the person who made them. Their plan covers them, and others join as guests.
Organizations belong to the company. Owners and admins decide who’s in, what they can do and which plan it has, and the work belongs to the company, including after someone leaves.
Guests see only the projects and chats shared with them.
If you invite people, you’re responsible for inviting only people you’re allowed to share that work with.

4. Plans, payments and taxes

Plans, their prices and their limits are on our pricing page. Prices are in US dollars. Organization plans are priced per seat.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the merchant of record for all our orders: Paddle takes the payment, adds sales tax or VAT where it applies, sends your receipts and handles billing questions and refunds with us. Paddle’s buyer terms, shown at checkout, also apply to your purchase.
Paid plans renew automatically, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Settings → Plan; the plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.
When you change plans or seats, Llamabyt shows you what it costs first. Moving up charges the difference for the rest of the period; moving down turns what you paid into credit for your next bills.
If a payment fails, Paddle tries again over several days and your plan keeps working meanwhile. If every try fails, the plan ends and the workspace goes back to the Free plan’s limits. Nothing is deleted.
Refunds follow our refund policy: a full refund within 14 days of the first payment for a new subscription.
We may change prices. We’ll tell you by email at least 30 days before a new price applies to your plan, and it takes effect at your next renewal after that.
Access codes can activate a plan without a card or give a discount at checkout. They last as long as the code says, work once per person, and can’t be sold or traded. Plans that come from a code or that we grant are at our discretion: we may change or end them, with notice where we reasonably can, and we’ll never charge you for them without your agreement.

5. Your content

What you and your team put into Llamabyt, and what your llamas make for you (messages, tasks, files, Canvas items, Brain notes and so on), is your content. You keep all your rights to it.
You give us permission to store, process, copy and show your content only as needed to run Llamabyt for you and your team: for example, to show it to the people you share it with, to send it to the AI provider you chose when a llama works, and to keep backups.
We don’t sell your content, and we don’t use it to train AI models.
You’re responsible for your content and for having the right to use it in Llamabyt.

6. Llamas, AI and your approval

Llamas use AI, which can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Review what they make before you rely on it, especially for anything with legal, financial, medical or safety consequences.
Your llamas use the AI provider you choose (for example Anthropic, through Claude Code or an API key, or OpenAI, through Codex). Your agreement with that provider, and its usage policies, apply to that use, and it bills you for it. Under an organization’s company-key rule, that company’s key pays.
With the connectors you set up, a llama can read on its own, but anything that would send, change or delete waits for your Allow. What you allow is done on your behalf, and you’re responsible for it.
The Mac app runs on your Mac. Llamas reach only the folders you share, and run commands only if you turn that on. You’re responsible for what you share and allow.

7. Using Llamabyt fairly

Follow our acceptable use policy. In short: don’t break the law, don’t harm or deceive people, don’t attack or overload Llamabyt, and don’t get around your plan’s limits.

8. Suspending or ending accounts

You can stop using Llamabyt at any time. To close your account and delete your data, write to us from your account’s email address.
We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if it breaks these terms or the acceptable use policy, if it puts other people or Llamabyt at risk, or if the law requires it. When we can, we’ll tell you why and give you a chance to fix it first. A suspended account can’t sign in, its Macs can’t connect, and its llamas stop working for it; nothing in it is deleted while it’s suspended.
If we close your account for a reason other than a breach of these terms, we’ll refund the part of any prepaid plan you haven’t used.

9. Our service

We work hard to keep Llamabyt running and your content safe, but during the private beta we don’t promise any particular uptime. Enterprise plans can include an uptime commitment in a separate agreement.
We may change or stop features. If we stop Llamabyt as a whole, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice to export your content, and refund any prepaid time you haven’t used.
Llamabyt connects to services we don’t run, like your AI provider, Google and Paddle. We’re not responsible for them.

10. Disclaimers

Llamabyt is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, and that what llamas or Yarvi produce is accurate.

11. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows:

Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, even if told they were possible.
Our total liability for anything relating to Llamabyt is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100.

These limits don’t apply to liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud or intentional harm.

12. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of your content or your use of Llamabyt in breach of these terms or the law, you’ll cover our reasonable costs of defending it, including what the claim costs us. This doesn’t apply to claims caused by our own breach.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Llamabyt after that, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree, you can stop and close your account.

14. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of El Salvador, and disputes go to its courts. If you’re a consumer, you keep any rights the laws of the country you live in give you, and nothing here takes them away. If a part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. A separate signed agreement with us (for example, for Enterprise) wins where it differs from these terms.
