Accounts and signing in

Signing up, Google, the email code, access codes and passwords.

  1. Llamabyt is in private beta: to sign up, type your access code, or open your invite link.
  2. Continue with Google confirms your address right away: there’s no code to type.
  3. Or use an email and a password.
  4. We email you a 6-digit code to confirm the address is yours. It works for 15 minutes.
  5. Expired? Press Send a new code.
  6. Forgot your password? On the sign-in page, Forgot your password? emails a link that works once, for an hour.
  7. In the Mac app, Continue with Google opens your browser, then hands you back to the app.

Accounts and signing in

Sign up

  • With Google: press Continue with Google. Your address is confirmed by Google, so there’s no code to type.
  • With email and password: we email you a 6-digit code. Type it in to confirm the address is yours. The code works for 15 minutes; press Send a new code if it expired.

Private beta. Llamabyt is in private beta: to make an account you need an invite link (someone invited you to their workspace) or an access code (it looks like LLB-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX). Type the code on the sign-up page. No code yet? The sign-up page has a link to ask us for one, or write to hello@llamabyt.com.

Forgot your password? On the sign-in page press Forgot your password? and we email you a link that works once, for one hour. Choosing a new password signs you out on your other devices.

Signed up with Google and want a password too? Use Forgot your password? with your address: we send a link to choose one.

In the Mac app, Continue with Google opens your browser (Google doesn’t allow its sign-in inside apps). Sign in there, and the browser hands you back to the app.

Someone made an account with my email? If an account was never confirmed, whoever owns the address can take it over by signing up again or by signing in with Google.

Account suspended? If signing in says your account is suspended, write to hello@llamabyt.com. While it’s suspended you can’t sign in, your Macs don’t connect and your llamas don’t work for you, but nothing in it is deleted.
