Workspaces, organizations and roles

Personal workspaces take guests; organizations have members with seats.

  1. Switch workspace from the menu at the top of the sidebar: your workspace’s name.
  2. An organization is a company’s workspace: everyone is a full member with a seat, and guests are free.
  3. Owners and admins manage members and roles in Settings → Members.
  4. Guests reach only the projects and chats they’re added to: they can’t invite people, create projects or llamas, or see the Brain.
  5. Create workspace is in the same menu.

Workspaces, organizations and roles

A personal workspace belongs to you and follows your own plan. People you invite are guests: they join the projects and chats you add them to, with their own free account (they can buy their own plan for their own workspaces).

An organization is a company’s workspace with its own plan and seats. Everyone is a full member who sees every open project and channel. Guests (clients, contractors) are free. Start one from Plans → For companies, or from the link on the Create a workspace page. Llamabyt for companies walks through everything an organization can set up.

Roles

  • Owner: everything, including the plan, handing over ownership and deleting the workspace.
  • Admin: members and roles, seats, company keys, AI spend and budgets, and settings.
  • Member: full use: projects, channels, their own llamas and Macs.
  • Guest: only the projects and chats they’re added to. Guests can chat, work on tasks and ask the llamas there, but can’t invite people, create projects or llamas, or see the Brain.

Switch workspace from the menu at the top of the sidebar (your workspace’s name). Create workspace is there too.
